Anxiety

It is perfectly normal to feel anxious every once in awhile. But when your anxiety starts impacting your work, school, relationship, hobbies, or home life, it’s time to address it.

What are some symptoms of anxiety?

Feeling nervous, restless or tense

  • Having a sense of impending danger, panic or doom
  • Having an increased heart rate
  • Breathing rapidly (hyperventilation)
  • Sweating
  • Trembling
  • Feeling weak or tired
  • Trouble concentrating or thinking about anything other than the present worry
  • Having trouble sleeping
  • Experiencing gastrointestinal (GI) problems
  • Having difficulty controlling worry
  • Having the urge to avoid things that trigger anxiety

How are anxiety disorders treated?

One of the best ways to deal anxiety is to talk about it. Learning about triggers and how to manage them can bring you peace. I teach stress management skills such as mindfulness and breathing exercise to help alleviate anxiety. Additionally through psychotherapy I help you challenge the anxious thought and reframe them.
